Development and Production North America (DPNA) aims to develop a material and profitable position in North America, including deepwater Gulf of Mexico, unconventional gas and oil sands. In doing this, we will establish capability centres for deepwater and unconventional gas operations as well as carbon efficient oil sands extraction. This will ensure our further development in the area.

Job description

  • The Maintenance Superintendent will be based in Hannibal, Ohio
  • Ensure maintenance activities are in compliance with company, industry, and regulatory HSE requirements
  • Maximize production, metering, and related system reliabilities and mechanical integrities while optimizing costs associated with maintenance and repair activities
  • Implement the maintenance management system which includes:
  • Condition monitoring for all rotating equipment, vessels, valves, lines, instrumentation, and related systems
  • Prioritization, scheduling, planning and coordination of maintenance activities as well as inspections required to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements
  • Documentation of maintenance and inspection activities including costs and physical status
  • Schedules, plans, and performs risk-based inspections
  • Takes a leading role in root cause failure analysis reviews
  • Responsible for the review and analysis of completed inspections
  • Prepare asset integrity reports as required
  • Supports and enforces management objectives, directives and guidelines during daily interaction within the contractual limits of a represented workforce
  • Provides work direction for both maintenance technicians and/or contractors
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand use hands, and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with manual dexterity to lift, bend and jump
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  • The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
  • The noise level is usually loud
  • Twenty-four hour on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High school or secondary education, college degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of related experience in a maintenance superintendent or supervisor related role
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Industry and Best-Practices as applicable
  • Demonstrated propensity for identifying and acting on opportunities for innovation and creativity
  • Developed knowledge of risk management and safety requirements affecting oil and gas production
  • Computer skills; spreadsheet software capabilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of budgeting and expense control
  • Ability to travel to various work site locations, meetings and training seminars
  • This position will be based in Hannibal, Ohio area
