Chatham House is seeking a Digital and Social Media Officer within its Communications and Publishing Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a demanding and stimulating environment in a growing and highly-respected organization.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for Chatham House's social media profile and will coordinate and drive digital outreach across the institute. S/he will also work on press office activity and offer general support to the Director of Communications and Publishing.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, personable, capable and flexible, and be able to work efficiently in a demanding environment. S/he will have:

• At least one year's experience of  social media, digital outreach and related strategy
• Experience of working in a press office or a good understanding of media relations
• Excellent attention to detail and awareness of language and tone appropriate to Chatham House
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• A proven interest in international and current affairs
• Enthusiasm, initiative, clarity and resilience
