Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a locally registered NGO first established in 1994. It is the largest indigenous provider of disability rehabilitation services in the country. CCBRT aims to improve the quality of life of people living with disabilities as well as their families and to enable them to achieve their legitimate potential.
Duties to Include:
• Treating patient with refractive error, prescribing appropriate glasses
• Evaluating refractive error and documenting in respective files correctly.
• Correctly performing additional tests and examinations required.
• Assisting colleague optometrists in their daily routine work.
• Correctly adhering to the protocols and guidelines in place linked to patient examination as per professional norms and confined to government optometry act.
• Coordinating between OPD and Refraction Departments.
• Performing any other duties assigned.
Work Experience / Skills:
• 2 years' experience in the same field. (E)
• Knowledge in computer is preferable. (P)
• An Individual that can work under pressure is motivated, flexible, creative and a good team player. (E)
• Accept challenges and has a good customer service skills (E)
Qualifications:
• Degree in Optometry or Diploma in Optometry (E)
