Responsible for ensuring that optimum stock levels are maintained, that all goods, perishable and non-perishable are stored under ideal conditions.

Our client is opening a new office with more large/modern store than one existing now in the outskirts of Arusha ends of February and is looking to fill in the store Keeper positions. Detailed job descriptions will be communicated to the successful candidates.

 

 Key Responsibilities;  

·         Storekeeper Responsible for ensuring that optimum stock levels are maintained, that all goods, perishable and non-perishable are stored under ideal conditions and that maximum security applies at all times, particularly when receiving or issuing goods.

·         To exercise general control over all activities in Stores Department

·         To ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.

·         To maintain proper records.

·         To initiate purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of all regular stores items whenever the stock level of any item of store approaches the minimum limit fixed in respect thereof.

·         To initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit.

·         To check and receive purchased materials forwarded by the receiving department and to arrange for the storage in appropriate places.

·         To reserve a particular material for a specific job when so required.

·         To issue materials only in required quantities against authorised requisition notes/material lists.

·         To check the book balances, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over wrong issues, pilferage, etc

·         To ensure efficient supply of goods and equipment necessary for smooth operations within set guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

·         A Minimum of three years working experience in the same position

·         A minimum of Certificate/Diploma in store keeping/procurement or any other related field

·         Exceptional communication skills

·         Excellent culinary expertise & Superior food and beverage knowledge

·         Excellent attention to detail, Team Player, Exceptional ability to multi task.

·         Immaculate personal grooming and presentation

·         A positive attitude, enthusiastic personality
