Job Title:             Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Reporting to:     Monitoring and Evaluation Learning (MEL) Coordinator

Location:             Based in Arusha

 

Ace Africa Tanzania, an NGO working in (i) Arusha District Council, Arusha Region, (ii) Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro Region, and (iii) Kome Island, Sengerema District, Mwanza Region, Tanzania, has an opening for the position of Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer based in Arusha DC, Arusha Region. Ace Africa's mission is to empower children and their communities to improve and sustain their own health, wellbeing and development.

 

Reporting to the MEL Coordinator in Arusha DC, the position will contribute to the successful monitoring and evaluation and impact assessments of multi-year, project-specific grants, across the sectors of Community Health, Child Development and Community Livelihoods.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least a Bachelors' degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science and/or an IT related course

  • At least three (3) years' experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in the development sector

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills

  • Competency in MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint mandatory; good knowledge of at least one data analysis software, such as SPSS, STATA or MS-Access, and knowledge of Open Data Kit a plus.

  • Highly organized and proactive individual with entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience of following financial accountability systems and organisational policies

  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and work with new technologies i.e ODK

  • Excellent writing/reporting skills

  • Demonstrated ability in project design, data analysis and monitoring and evaluation of programmes.

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
