We are a Trucking Company with a Small Fleet of Trucks which serve to Transport Containers from Dar Es Salaam through to Neighboring States ( Zambia, Malawi, Congo, Burundi, Rwanda Etc ). The position of a Transport Manager in Currently Available with the below Duties and Responsibilities to be fulfilled.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance of Daily Reports on the Positions of all transport trailer & vehicles.
Coordinating with Clearing Department on Truck Requirement's and Shipment Status.
Ensuring all Shipments are Loaded on Time.
Ensure All Permits, Licenses & Insurances of Trucks/Trailers are Valid & up to date.
Ensuring regular servicing and maintenance of all trucks of the establishment.
Maintaining a service and maintenance record of all vehicles.
Assigning work areas and tasks to subordinates and ensuring the timely completion of the same.
Daily Reports and Updates of all shipments to be forwarded to Head Office & All Branch Offices
Coordinating with the purchase department for spare parts and other repair equipments.
Complying with all safety norms and industry regulations for all work processes.
Skills and Specifications:
Should have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
Should have the ability to effectively lead and manage a team of subordinates.
Should understand and efficiently complete all delegated tasks.
