POSITION TITLE Education Loan Officer
REPORTS DIRECTS TO Education Finance Supervisor
REPORTS INDIRECT TO Chief Relationship Officer
LOCATION Dar Es Salaam, Arusha and Kilimanjaro
CLOSING DATE 9th December ,2014
1: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To identify potential schools within his/her area of operation.
2. Market and sale the education loans (both school improvement and school fees) to the prospective schools.
3. Collect and verify all client information and perform comprehensive assessment of potential schools.
4. To carryout site visits of the potential schools premises and collaterals and asses them accordingly including calculations of cash flow and balance sheet and decide on the correct amount of loan to give.
5. To visit all the clients and guarantor's residential during loan appraisal.
6. Ensure loans are processed in a timely manner according to the agreed, customer needs and opportunity Tanzania lending policies.
5. To make follow up of the disbursed loans and see how it is utilized to the planned project and comment to the branch manager of the same.
6. To monitor repayments of disbursed school improvement loans and recommend to the Branch manager initiation of initial appropriate recovery measures to be pursued In case of default.
7. Reviewing the school improvement loan portfolio regularly and submit the report to the Branch Manager.
8. Establish good relationship between opportunity Tanzania and the customers and ensure good client retention.
9. Participate in occasional market research surveys that may lead to new product development and/or measure transformation.
Other Responsibilities:-
• Growth of the product within the set targets in both numbers and volume.
• Cost conscious at all production stages in order to maximize product profitability.
• Achievement of the set up targets on numbers, volume and quality of the product.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:
Education:
Bachelor degree in Microfinance and Enterprise Development, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting from any recognized University or equivalent
Experience:
• The candidate must have a working experience of not less than two years in lending business.
• Experience from a financial institution or related discipline will be an added advantage.
• He/ She should be computer literate with excellent command of Excel and
• Word Processing.
• Added skills in Risk management.
• Experience on Individual loans- MSE/MSE will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of related lending and compliance regulations, and other lending policies.
• Knowledge of Education Sector in Tanzania
