Job Summary
Cardno is seeking a Civil Designer in our Sacramento, CA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Assisting Project Designer with preparation of plan documents and supporting design calculations
> Assisting Project Manager with obtaining necessary data to complete design
> Maintain and organize all project related documentation: original plans, computerized data and files
> Assisting Project Manager with preparation of Bid documents/specifications
> Assisting Project Manager with preparation of construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs
> Assisting Project Manager with obtaining permit/jurisdictional approvals
> Assisting project manager with soliciting information from local jurisdictions
> Preparing memos/letters required for the preparation and approval of the design documents
> Assisting Project Manager with construction administration
> Completing inspections/inspection reports for project
> Distributing inspection reports
> Assisting project manager with coordination of design changes with survey department, jurisdiction, owner and contractor

Other Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
> Civil Engineering Degree or minimum 2 years experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 or newer
> Basic knowledge of 2010 Microsoft Word and Excel
