Company
Based in Brussels, our client is the HQ of an international services company specialised in the development and support of supply chain technologies. They are present in more than 100 countries.
Position
Based in Brussels, this newly created position reports the Chief Marketing Officer.
This is an open-ended part-time role (50%), under a freelance/consultant status.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the internal communications strategy by developing a variety of traditional and digital media
  • Create and implement internal communications plans to step-change : communication within the HQ and communication between the US and the Brussels office
  • Help deliver business change/transformation initiatives
  • Work with HR team to develop effective and engaging employee communications of HR programs, such as performance management, talent, training, employee engagement and career development
  • Drive communications strategies and messaging to engage employees
  • Identify new and creative ideas for internal communications to enhance employee engagement and the connection between the leadership team and the larger organization
  • Supervise direct external writers, creative agencies, creative teams and vendors
Profile
  • At least a bachelor degree (preferably master degree)
  • Strong corporate communications, change management and internal communications background
  • Around 10 years' experience in a senior communications role (experience in a US multinational is a plus)
  • Excellent and persuasive communicator
  • Extensive successful writing and editing experience with print and online communications media
  • Perfect knowledge of English
  • Creative use of both traditional communication channels and digital technologies
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into actions
  • Experience in generating executable strategic plans and campaigns with measurable results
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching teams
  • Stature and confidence to gain the credibility and respect of senior management
  • Self-reliant, excellent problem solver, results-oriented, sense of priority
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
  • Act as project leader who can impact strategic and tactical initiatives
