JOBS AT THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH - TANZANIA - NOV 2014
The ministry of health and social welfare through the global fund for malaria Grant, is advertising three posts for additional staff for national malaria control programme(NMCP)
1.    MALARIA SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER- ONE POST
 Role and responsibility:
•    Liaise with LMU upstream logistic coordinators on the forecast, quantification, ordering, receipt and storage at the central store of malaria drugs and supplies for manufacturers.
•    Liaise with LMU downstream logistics coordinators on the distribution of malaria drugs and supplies to zonal store, storage at zonal stores and distribution to health facilities.
•    Prepare monthly report on the receipt and pipeline quantities of malaria drugs and supply every Tuesday of the first week of each monthly and submit the same to PM-NMCP.
•    Any other duties determined by head of malaria case management NMCP.
•    Responsible to the head of malaria case management- NMCP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•     Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, supply management, or related field, will be an added advantage.)
•    At least de two experiences progressively responsible in supply chain management.
•     Demonstrate skills in information systems and advert Microsoft office applications.
•    Experience in logistics/ supply chain management of management of public health commodities is desirable.
•    Experience and knowledge in procurement will be an added advantage.
•    Excellent communication skills are important.
2.    DATA ANALYST (STATISTICIAN- ONE POST)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
•    Data cleaning and merging from different data set (DHIS, SMS for life ILS gateway, survey etc.)
•    Data organization, analysis, interpret and dissemination.
•     Produce key statics outcome and written descriptive reports on monthly quarry, bi-annual, annual and whenever see necessary.
•    Any other assignments given by head of surveillance, monitoring and evaluation
•    Report to the head of surveillance, monitoring and evaluation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•     Bachelor Degree in statistics (postgraduate degree in public health statistics or related field will be an added advantage.)
•    At least two years' experience progressively responsible in data analysis.
•    Demonstrated skills in information systems and advanced Microsoft office applications.
•     Excellent communication skills are important.
3.    DRIVER- ONE POST
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
•     Report to the transport office of the NMCP pool assigned vehicles.
•     Fill logbooks take care management of vehicle including fuel consumption.
•    Drive other program vehicles whenever need arises.
•    Preforms any other assigned activities relating to driving
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Form IV ordinary level certificate with class c driving license.
•    Excellent communication skills are important.
•    NIT/VETA course in an added advantage.
Salary
Salary of all officer will be paid through the global fund grand  (SSF-malaria) and s will be according to the approved MoHSW rates.
