Sandvik Process Systems, the leading supplier of steel belt conveyors and processing equipment, has an opening for a Field Service Technician at the Totowa, NJ production site.
Key performance areas
- Install, repair, start up and troubleshoot steel belt processing equipment at customers' sites
- Provide technical (e.g. machine start-up and troubleshooting) and training support of products through the market area Regions and/or directly with end-users
- Act as a technical contact person for Engineering and R&D
- Intensive training program will develop your skills
Your profile
- High school graduate
- Technical school graduate a plus
- Three to five years related field experience (mechanical and electrical skills) or combination of education and experience
- Shop experience in welding (especially TIG), machining and assembly desirable
- Specific knowledge of PLC's, ladder logic and electrical control panels, a plus
- Good written, verbal and people skills necessary
- Word processing and PC familiarity
Position will require candidate to travel 80% of the time to service customers in the USA and Canada. However, travel may include companies anywhere in the western hemisphere. Passport required.
