IT Support Specialist, 1st Line - 2 Posts

£35,096 pa + benefits

Either a certified PC engineer or with other formal hardware training, you must have at least three years' IT service desk support experience to succeed in this outstanding first-line support role.
You'll be resolving email and telephone requests for IT support; patch-managing telecoms and networking; maintaining internal and third-party backup and file and print services; and administering mobile telephony and video presence solutions.
This will involve making the most of your fault-analysis and diagnostic expertise as you carry out component-level and hardware repairs and to deliver both reactive and proactive technical services. Also, you will help with installing, setting-up and testing hardware and IT applications; visit users on-site; deliver training to users; and occasionally provide out-of-hours support.
With relevant MS Certifications and proficiency in MS desktop applications and software, you will ideally have Active Directory skills and be MOS Certified. A team-player and technically confident to use your own initiative, strong analytical abilities to problem-solve to timescales; and the adaptability to be open to new methods.
Passionate about customer service, you will have the interpersonal and communication skills to deal with customers and reporting at all levels.  You will be a team player with the ability to operate well and thrive in a team culture.  To be considered, you must be a citizen of a Commonwealth country able to thrive in our multi-cultural environment.
