Job description
In order to continue the development of our operation unit in Stirling, Scotland and in line with the needs in finance and accounting, we have decided to fully split the responsibility between the Customer Center and the Product Company, with the new requirement to have dedicated Business Controller in the Product Company.We are therefore looking for a committed and dedicated person with analytical skills to work as a Business Controller position within our Product Company.
Key Responsibilities
· The successful candidate will report to the General Manager in the Product Company and will be a member of the Management Team · Support and advise the General Manager and the Functional Managers with good tools and analysis of business trends and company/product line performance to enable, in controlling business risks and responding to business opportunities· Safeguarding a good internal control environment in order to protect the company assets, to control the consolidated financial performance of the company and to make sure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with Finance and Administration as per "The Way" and local statutory accounting practice · Follow up of internal business policies and procedures, in line with local legal and group requirements. · Maintaining a close working relationship with the RDT Division, including preparation and presentation of Company Review meetings· Pro-active highlighting of red flags where necessary and putting in place action plans when and where necessary with the support of Management· Participate in other project teamwork on a local, divisional and business area level where applicable· Together with your Financial Accounting Supervisor & team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies, controls and procedures· You will ensure the submission of financial and management reports conforms to Group practices and procedures and deliver financial and operation reporting to your management team colleagues, government and other external requirements· Contact and liaise with Internal & External auditors on behalf of the organization · To manage the consolidation of the statutory reporting for the legal entity· To prepare accurately the investments proposal including appropriate follow-up· To drive the yearly planning process for the Product Company· To support and participate to the BRM and BBM meetings· Leading role in Implementing a new Enterprice Resource Management system in the PC· Implement effective business control processes and tools · Co-ordinate the planning process· Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information· Utilize and share leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group· Initiate/safeguard training in business control, including "The Way......" in the whole organization· Safeguard a professional development for all employees within area of responsibility · To ensure that solid asset management procedures are in place, safeguarding that the company operates with a minimum of capital tied up· To safeguard that the accounting is in accordance with the local statutory accounting practices and that monthly and quarterly group reports are correct, complete and on time· To make sure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors get necessary support
Experience requirements
Good knowledge of "The Way We Do Things" is required, as well as demonstrated leadership in implementing policies and procedures.Must have a solid knowledge and experience of Finance, administration procedures and legal requirementThorough knowledge of the group's ERP (BPCS and similar) and reporting systems.Experience and competency in business process management, specifically in supply chain management
Knowledge
The candidate will also have broad experience as Financial Manager/Business Controller in Customer Centers and/or Product Companies. Proficiency in the use of ERP systems, Prisma, Crystal Bridge, MS office and Lotus notes is required.To have excellent business data, analytical tools and analytical skills.Fluency in English is a must
Educational requirements
Graduate from University with a minimum of bachelor degree major in Business Administration,Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Personality requirements
The successful candidate will have a key role in the Management Team and will be able to work both independently and in a team. He/she will be a proven leader who is able to manage a very heavy workload, and has excellent communication skills.
Additional information
This position will be based in Stirling long-term, but some transitional arrangements could be considered depending on the candidate.
