Background
Social Impact (SI) is a Washington, DC-area international development management consulting firm. We provide a full range of innovative program evaluation, management consulting, technical assistance, and training services to strengthen international development programs, organizations and policies. Our global services are in the areas of democracy and governance, health and education, agriculture, the environment, and economic growth.
Objective
The proposed contract is to provide USAID/Tanzania with technical and advisory services for evaluation activities at the Mission (operating unit) level, including all democracy and governance, health, education, and economic growth program activities. This may include designing and implementing both quantitative and qualitative evaluation studies and assessments as well as providing evaluation technical assistance for USAID/Tanzania development programs. These efforts will facilitate informed program management decisions, shape the longer-term strategic direction of programs and decision-making within the Mission, and enable USAID/Tanzania to comply with USAID's Evaluation Policy. SI is looking for local Tanzanian Field Monitors and Data Collectors to bring onto its roster of short-term technical assistance (STTA)
Responsibilities and Tasks
Conduct data quality assessments and interviews for surveys and assessments.

Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • At least a University first degree graduate, or advanced degree;
  • At least two (2) years working experience, specifically with conducting surveys and reporting data collection with development organizations;
  • Familiarity with designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks or strategies;
  • Experience conducting and/or leading data collection efforts;
  • Proven ability to conduct interviews and filling questionnaires for data collection purposes;
  • Professional level English skills.
