Job profile
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for (strategic) account management with a strong focus on cross solution business development within both local (Belgium) and international Public Services. He or she will provide guidance and counsel to GfK Product Group teams regarding client expectations, based on his/her thorough knowledge of the client's market and business questions.
Building long term strategic partnerships with accounts within the Public Services industry is the focus of the AM. The AM coordinates client servicing by providing successful project management. This means giving support in critical project steps, managing client's expectations, organizing regular reviews of the project status and understanding expected deliverables in detail.
The AM is highly skilled in extracting stories and providing insights for Public Services clients using the whole GfK portfolio. He or she supports in writing or reviewing client research reports and creating impactful deliverables including development of meaningful insightful output answering key client business challenges, using fact based consultancy methods.
Your Profile
  • Master or Bachelor degree
  • At least 5 years of prior working experience for an agency or in the Public Services sector
  • In-depth understanding of the current challenges the Public Services industry is facing
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills, able to see the big picture as well as to dive into the details
  • A good balance between hunter (business development) and farmer (servicing) profile
  • Information seeking mentality and high level of eagerness to learn
  • A winning spirit with a true passion for Public Services
  • Digital omnivore, embracing innovation wholeheartedly
  • Advanced presentation and storytelling skills
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills both orally and in written in Dutch, French and English
