AGRICULTURAL LABOR PRACTICES (ALP) MONITOR

Tanzania Leaf Tobacco Company Limited (TLTC) invites applications from all suitable and qualified candidates to fill the following Positions,

Agricultural Labor Practices (Alp) Monitor

Roles and Responsibilities:
The job incumbent will be responsible for monitoring, , Coordinating and report comprehensively on all Agricultural Labor Practices (ALP) Program issues concerning the elimination of child labor on all farms where the company sources the tobacco f.om.. The duties shall include:
Monitors outreach programs performed by the ALP field staff throughout the TLTC areas of operations in line with the ALP Principles
Monitor the systematic collection of information on ALP issues of individual contracted farmers
Monitor the implementation of ALP Code and other applicable labour laws in Tanzania
Follow up on calendar/ action plan based on ALP program
Produce weekly and monthly ALP concerning ALP principles and as guided by the ALP Coordinator.

Reporting
This position is based in Tabora. The job incumbent will be reporting directly to ALP Coordinator with regular communication with other staff throughout the company especially with the Agronomy team in the field.

Qualifications and experience
Certificate/ Diploma in Laws
1 year work experience in a similar job
6months' experience with NGO' s as a paralegal officer or project monitor.

Capable of extensive reporting in Microsoft Word and Excell
Can work with minimum supervision
Good computer skills in a windows environment, particularly with MS excel, Word and

Self-motivated in performing the assigned responsibilities, be able to work both independently and within a team environment to meet the deadlines
Be rigorous, adaptable and hard working person
Good communicator and attentive to details,
