With 25 operational branches in Tanzania, DTB is now looking for capable and qualified individuals to fill in the following positions:-
Deputy Head - Operations
Reporting to Head of Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for implementation of the strategy in the areas of systems, process and guidelines to enhance efficient operations and deliver effective financial services to customers.
Key Responsibilities;
• Provides operational support in terms of infrastructure and logistics that are required for effective branch operations and networks.
• Ensures efficient and effective managements of programmes that will enhance implementation of viable, quality and cost driven operations to minimize operational lapses and increased service delivery and profitability of the Bank.
• Implementation of sound operational programmes to ensure fraud prevention and advises management on specific areas that require remedial measures to mitigate fraud.
• The management of local process performance standards, cost and timelines of execution and delivery, including security logistics, branch network system, ATMs, and telecommunications needs, to ensure that the support Malfunctions offer the branch customers an efficient, convenient and relationship supportive service.
• The provision of capacity and resource scheduling to effectively fulfill the demand expectations of the font office and more importantly, those of the customers.
• Rectification of audit irregularities and ensues branches adheres to internal procedure.
• Liaison with the Head-HR in coordinating staff appraisal programmes and overall supervision of staff to ensure that business targets of the branches are achieved.
• Identify in liaison with the Head HR appropriate on the job training and development programmes and to act as internal resources development for staff being supervised.
Education Qualifications
• Post graduate qualification in Banking, Accounting or Finance e.g. MBA degree or any other relevant.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA / CPA, CIIB is an added advantage. .
• Experience & competencies required
• 10 years minimum Banking experience.
• At least 5 years' experience as Branch Manager of a large branch ..
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
• Familiar with application of Technology.
• Strong evaluation, communication, presentation and reporting skills.
• Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking individual.
• Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making.
