 Trainee - Revenue Assurance Analyst

JOB PURPOSE
MIC Tanzania seeks to recruit high-potential recent graduates through the graduate Trainee program and develop them into Telco Revenue Assurance specialist through twelve month long on the job training. The selected candidate will be working close with the Head of Revenue Assurance on special projects within Revenue Assurance, he or she will learn and perform Fraud prevention and detection, Internal control, Information Security and Enterprise Risk Management. Successful trainee would also receive training on various areas of the telcom and specific to Millicom –tigo.

Key Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Design and implement controls in order to give assurance to the reported revenue & Costs.
  • Implement, Monitor and ensure high level of trend monitoring of the Revenue Assurance System.
  • Automate controls as and when required and support to other Revenue Assurance staff in the automation of controls and processes for maximum efficiency in the department.
  • Carry out End to End reviews and work closely with the Internal control team with regards to Bill and Collect internal controls in order to ensure that the controls have been implemented properly as stipulated per internal control manual and changes in the organization reflects in the existing controls.
  • Assist the Head of Revenue Assurance in carrying product assurance activities.
  • Act as backup for different RA functions performed by other RA team as agreed with Head of RA.
  •  Maintain and manage the departmental documents at all times.
  • Contribute in both intra and inter departmental projects while working in teams.
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Degree in IT, and/ or equivalent qualifications
  • Masters' Degree is an advantage
  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools, SQL, PL-SQL Queries, Batch Scripts, and Oracle & SQL Database Management.
  • Basic knowledge in Finance and revenue booking will be an advantage
