Call for Experts - East Africa - Gender/Youth, Climate Change/Environment, Natural Resources Management



Background:

We leverage Land O'Lakes, Inc.'s 34-year history engaging in international agriculture and economic development programs, implementing more than 280 programs in 80 countries since 1981.
Project Description:
We are currently preparing for anticipated USAID and USDA funded development projects in East Africa. A sample of current and former projects in the region includes: resilience and food security in Madagascar; dairy production and value chain infrastructure in Mozambique; farmer livelihood and livestock productivity in Zambia; livelihood and food security in Kenya; and nutrition and agriculture production in Ethiopia. Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities:
We are looking for expressions of interest from experienced and qualified development professionals specialized in the following technical areas:
  • Gender and youth;
  • Climate change/ environment; and
  • Natural resource management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field of expertise;
  • 8+ years of experience in technical area;
  • Experience working on international projects; and
  • Fluency in English.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree;
  • Development work experience in the region;
  • Local language ability; and
  • Experience working on USAID or USDA-funded projects.
