Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Electrical Technician to be based in its Mbeya Plant.
Position Reporting: Electrical Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
Electrical Technician will perform skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems. Electrical work will be performed in a number of areas including control panels, transformers, breakers, motors, generator equipment and all other electrical equipments. Work will involve technical application of electrical principles.
• Contribute to the installation of the following equipment: transformers, MV/LV switchboards, generators, motors, starters, VSD, UPS, capacitors, batteries, etc
• Behave in accordance with the 11 safety rules established by the group
• Maintain and check on a regular basis MV/LV isolation equipment as well as alarming equipment
• Carry out inspection, basic maintenance activities and housekeeping on the equipment
• Participate in Root cause analysis when required
• Propose improvement on electrical equipment and perform tests in order to comply with requirements and specifications
• In collaboration with the planner, ensure the availability of electrical spare parts
• Updating electrical documentation (drawings, procedures and technical specifications)
Technical Competencies
• Education: Full Technician Certificate with four (4) years working experience OR a Diploma holder from a recognized training institution
Additional skills:
• Good knowledge of products and the manufacture process
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skill
• Good knowledge of electrical equipment
Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Mechanical Technician to be based in its Mbeya Plant.
Position Reporting: Mechanical Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
• Monitor the scheduled time requirements for the planned jobs by making use of the job plans, proper working tools/equipments and skills necessary
• Attending plant incidents (breakdown) punctually to reduce down time
• Responsible to conduct risk assessment with all respective permits for all mechanical maintenance jobs, which are to be validated by the supervisor
• Participating in weekly safety toolbox talks & SERs (Serious Event Reviews)
• Responsible for scheduled inspection of tools and tackles(including safety tools and tackles) and ensuring that these are in optimal condition of safe use
• Record some possible anomalies observed on the equipment during maintenance or inspection
• Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares
Technical Competencies
• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Full Technician Certificate (FTC). At least two years experience as Mechanical technician in manufacturing industries with heavy plant equipments.
Additional skills:
• Knowledge of mechanical elements, conveying systems and power transmissions
• Mechanical Multi-skilled quality. Able to perform fitting, welding, machining (turning) and conveyor belting splicing
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer literate
Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Order/Call Agent to be based in its Mbeya Plant.
Position Reporting: Customer Relations Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate customers' needs with the sales team and other stakeholders.
• Behave in accordance with the 11 safety rules established by the group
• Customer feedback both internal & External.
• Maintain customer's contacts.
• Record customers complain/Request & concerns to CRM system.
• Support & improve customer interaction
• Out bound calls: Implement Agreed number of calls per customer per week/month.
• Provide right & accurate information for order management.
• Ensure forecasted Sales volume generation & Revenue contribution.
• Reporting and communication on calls outcome.
• Calls analysis & Reporting
• Conducting customer survey.
• Change & Influence prospective customers and sales.
• Managing customers' complains and Request.
Technical Competencies
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business related subjects. Basic knowledge in Cement industry.

Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Laboratory Technician to be based in its Mbeya Plant.
Position Reporting: Laboratory Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
Within the framework of quality standards and procedures, his/her should conduct and supervise the operations in the analytical laboratory, prepare and verify chemical solutions for analytical and process control laboratories
• Prepare and perform daily chemical analysis on the samples provided by his/her superiors and checks, verifies and confirms correctness of work of the analysts
• Behave in accordance with the 11 safety rules established by the group
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the necessary departments for repair. If the equipment cannot be repaired then he must inform his/her superior for advise
• Monitors the usage of the necessary chemicals. Requests for and obtains these chemicals before stocks are depleted
• Ensures that any results which are out of specifications are reported to his/her supervisor immediately
• Performs chemical analysis and trials as determined by the Works Chemist and the Optimization Manager
• Responsible for reporting to superiors on the general day to day running of the laboratory(such as chemical stocks and equipment) and/or any other matter felt to be necessary
• Responsible for inducting and training of analysts and samples in the use of equipment, instructions and carrying out sampling and analysis
Technical Competencies
• Education: Diploma in Science Subjects or a Full Technicians Certificate (FTC) with at least three years industrial experience
Additional skills:
• Good knowledge of cement manufacturing processes: raw mill preparation, burning, airflow, combustion and grinding
• Good knowledge of the major clients, uses of the products and of the controlling parameter
