FANIKIWA MICROFINANCE COMPANY is a growing Microfinance Institution with branches in Dar Es Salaam (head office and branch), Mwanza, Arusha, Korogwe and Zanzibar. We serve more than 3,000 entrepreneurs with business and agriculture loan products to improve their business activities and increase their household income.
Fanikiwa also offers unique insurance products to our clients that help them to mitigate major risks. .
FANIKIWA is seeking to recruit qualified, highly motivated,. performance driven and experienced Tanzanians interested in working in a dynamic and challenging environment. FANIKIWA is currently looking to fill the position of MWANZA BRANCH MANAGER.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
To oversee day to day branch. operations, supervising branch staff, managing the branch portfolio and ensuring that the branch targets are achieved in line with the Company's targets
To exchange information with the Chief Operations Officer, and ensuring an adequate information flow within the branch
To market Fanikiwa products and services
The Branch Manager will lead the effort- to expand client outreach while maintaining high quality loan assessment, loan approval, loan disbursement and delinquency management processes. Most importantly. s/he will ensure that the company delivers an outstanding service that is client focused and efficient at all times,

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and controls the operations of the entire branch;
Implements policies, procedures and internal controls at the branch
Develops the branch business plan and annual work plans and seeks approval from the COO, Chief Finance Officer and CEO on the projected targets and required resources;
Ensures that the targets agreed with the management are reached;
Plans and controls the liquidity of the branch; .
Decides on all operational issues within the framework of existing regulations and management decisions; .
Chairs the Branch Credit Committee (BCb) and participates in evaluating, approving, or rejecting loans according to the level of discretion;
Provides personnel management, coaching, and supervision of branch staff (.e.g engage in interviewing new staff and evaluating existing staff in accordance with management, ensures that the branch staff maintain very high morale, regularly review and assess the performance of branch staff, conduct supervision meetings and manage the annual performance assessment process).
Plans and initiates promotional measures within the target markets of the branch;
Performs independent balancing of all records; .
Assure all audit findings are rectified with Management' response within two weeks
Works with other management members of Fanikiwa; Attends monthly branch managers meetings, engages in team problem solving, works together on overlapping tasks, and provides back-up support to the other branches and head office as needed
Manages day-to-day operations and activities to ensure operational integrity and compliance with all branch policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION
University degree preferably related to economics, accounting, business administration, Entrepreneurship, Accounting. Master degree is an added advantage
Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team;
Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of reliability and correctness;
Good knowledge on economic and financial topics and sufficient experience in the operational business of Fanikiwa;
Be a good trainer facilitator, mentor and coach;
Very good communication skills;
Familiar with Microsoft applications;
Excellent marketing skills.
