Supplement Editor

Mwananchi Communications Limited, publishers of the leading Tanzania newspapers, Mwananchi, The Citizen and Mwanaspoti is looking tor motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the position of:

Supplement Editor - 1 POST
To edit, layout and design supplements in conformity with journalistic ethics, editorial objectives and MCL house style within set deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key result areas:
Discusses supplements stories with clients.
Assigns reporters and photographers for stories and pictures.
Lead, motivate and guide the supplements sales team.
Assigns supplement Sales executive for adverts and clients follow up.
Subs the stories and lays out pages ensuring that deadlines, captions and pictures are in place.
Seeks client approval for the job and sends the pages to graphic designers for release to the press within set deadlines.
Achieves targets:
Minimum of 4 supplements per week
Deadlines control - Zero tolerance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATTION AND
EXPERIENCE
Academic Basic University Degree
Professional Diploma in Journalism
Experience
5 years working - experience.

REMUNERATION:
A competitive remuneration will be offered to the right candidate.
