The TIQS is an association that is spearheading Quantity Surveyors in the country into becoming preferred lead advisors to clients in matters of construction projects related to cost, time quality and management of resources. The mission of TIQS is to engender coherence amongst members of the quantity surveying profession, lead the development of the discipline of quantity surveying and promote it as indispensable to value-added services in the construction process, 'create awareness of the benefit of quantity surveying services to potential clients and the community, develop and maintain standards of excellence and best practice in the profession, and encourage the efficient, effective and sustainable use of construction resources

TIQS is now announcing one (1) position:-

1. Administrative Secretary;
He or She is expected to exercise independent judgment and action including making frequent decisions in accordance with delegated responsibilities from assigned supervisor. Primary emphasis is placed upon relieving the President or TIQS Management / Council of administrative details by preparing considerable correspondence, compiling and summarizing data into concise form and by preparation of reports. And also, charged with monitoring and recording expenditures.

Duties
Providing excellent customer service skills
Managing inventory of assets and supplies, sourcing for suppliers (vendors) and submitting invoices
Coordinating between the TIQS Management and the Members;
Scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities
Sending out and receiving mail and packages
Preparing business correspondence, typically using
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
Data entry
Managing files
Address Members concerns in accordance with TIQS Constitution;

All day-to-day operation matters

Qualifications and Experience;
Graduate in Building Economics/Quantity Surveying or Finance or Business Administration or Marketing;
Not less than 2-years of field experience;
Very strong communication and organization skills
Excellent oral and written English and Kiswahili

Salary;
Negotiable
