Supporting Access to Justice for Children in East Africa (SAJCEA) is a project hosted by the Tanganyika Law Society ("TLS")    and implemented by the Tanzania National Working Group (TNWG) in collaboration with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). The project is implemented in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The same is financially supported by the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). As such, the broad objective of the project is to strengthen access to justice for children in East Africa through collaboration with bar associations in East Africa and other relevant partners in government and civil societies.

In its efforts to improve implementation of project activities, SAJCEA intends to recruit a Project Administrative Assistant to support all administrative aspects of the project. The Project Administrative Assistant will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator. The Position is for an initial period of one year four months.

Specifically Project Administrative assistant will be responsible for;
i. Assisting in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the SAJCEA project
ii. Assisting in networking and representing SAJCEA in assigned meetings
iii. Assisting in administrative duties around the preparation for meetings and conferences including organizing logistics around the meetings
iv. Assisting in preparation of reports to the Project Support Office
v. Keeping abreast of all project correspondence including emails
vi. Maintain proper project records both in hard and soft copy
vii. Perform all administrative duties for the project
viii. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor degree in Administration, Project planning and Management or Equivalent.
Have worked a minimum of 2 years in a similar position in a reputable institution
Strong oral and written communication with effective interpersonal and relationship management skills to engage individuals at all levels in the Project and Organization.
Experience of Working with donor funded projects.
Proven ability to build relationships and credibility.
Strong analytical skills
Must be computer literate - Excel and Word skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule when required
Ability to multi-task prioritizing and working under tight deadlines.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
