The Corporate Security, Associate Trainer & Business Administrator will provideHostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) & Security Risk Management Training (SRMT) instruction, support the business processes, specifically training, training event coordination, of the GSTT. This role will be part of the Global Security Training Team (GSTT) that delivers HEAT & SRMT training. In particular, training takes the form of educational instruction in assigned subject/topic areas to include incident management, risk and threat assessments, hostage incident management, Civ Mil relations, personal security, disaster management, radio communication, first aid, navigation, computer skills and other topics as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Assist in the design and delivery of personal security training especially for medium and high risk offices including security risk management and hostile environment awareness training in 6 self-equipped regional training hubs.
  • Participate in the development of an effective global security training strategy that reflects WVs strategic direction, operational threat environment and international best practices.
  • In consultation with the Global Security Training Team (GSTT) and the Director of Training, support Regional Security Directors (RSD) and National Directors (ND) with appropriate security training advice and capacity development.
  • Collaborate with Regional Security Directors (RSD) to ensure that the OCS Security Training strategy appropriately supports the regional operational program priorities.
  • Technical and Operational Support: Provide technical advice and support to the GSTT and the Regional Security Directors (RSD) on security training and development issues and there likely impact on WV's strategies and programme operations.
  • Contribute to development of global policies, guidelines and standards relating to security training.
  • Creation, design and maintenance of training workshop course evaluation system, through the use of the on-line program Survey Monkey.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate with Training Coordinator, to ensure training workshops, included travelling, pre-event preparation and post-event closure is organized.
  • Financial: Managing team Expenses, in particular with pre-workshop and post-workshop expenses, and international travel expenses
  • Creating, maintaining and managing cost summaries for minimum of ten international training workshops.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Bachelor's degree,
  • Experience of two or more years in managing assessment, design and delivery of capacity building initiatives in security, international development,
  • Experience in international event planning and coordination preferred
  • Knowledge of, and experience with developing, competency-based training packages preferred. Experience of training and coaching in effective design and delivery of adult learning / education preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial experience relating to budgets, expense reports, foreign currency and general mathematical processes.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
