Banque Populaire du Rwanda, the leading retail bank in Rwanda wishes to recruit focused, results-oriented and suitably qualified professionals to fill the following position:
 
Regional IT Support Officer (1 position)
(Reporting to IT Support Manager)
Department: Operations

The successful candidate will provide the highest quality of technology for business in regional areas by supporting users with their daily works and also provide all necessary information on hardware and software to the end users within the regional BPR branches. Specifically the candidate will:
  •  Adding/removing computers on domain, updating rights to shared folders, providing the first contact for users, requiring support or technical computer systems assistance, and operations procedures to support the regional branch/sub-branch/outlets' bank environment.
  • Travel to remote sites to fix network, hardware and software related issues that cannot be managed remotely.
  • Adding/removing users on domain securing rights to shared network services, data and resources, installation of systems components.
  • Provides first line end user support for information management systems and technology, including Internet services and the local area network.
  • Provides technical guidance, advice and training to system users.
  • Responsible for all IT equipments based on his/her area.
  • Training - Develop and coordinate an overall software applications training to the end users of all levels in that region.
  • Make sure that all PCs will be protected against virus with an update of antivirus after 2 weeks.
  • Visit regional branches/sub-branches/outlets for regular check to preventing incidents
  • Making plans for weekly visit, reporting all the incidents from his/her region in the Help desk system.
  • Through the help desk system, escalate unsolved/severe incidents to the appropriate 2nd line support officers/Head of IT when necessary.
 
  Qualifications experiences and attributes
 
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in MIS or related field such as Computer Science , Information Systems, Communication Engineering and Information and Communications Technology
  • Working knowledge of personal computer operating systems, networking systems and applications software Windows based.
  • Analytical/problem solving, leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
