Job Summary

The Cardno Engineering and Environmental Services Division is seeking a business development manager for its Intermountain West Business Unit. This position will primarily focus on the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas markets in the area. Other Cardno service areas being marketed include environmental compliance, environmental remediation, groundwater remediation, industrial hygiene, site development, mining and water/wastewater. In addition to these services, the business development manager is expected to represent "One Cardno" and all of our services to clients and prospects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Lead sales activities associated with the acquisition of new clients
> Maintain and build key client relationships, leading to increases in regional sales
> Actively prospect and lead associated business development activities to create new revenue opportunities
> Develop and implement capture plans for specific key accounts and projects
> Provide sales goal tracking and reporting. Significant sales activity will be expected
> Travel throughout the business unit to develop and/or maintain long-term, on-going business relationships with clients and prospects. The region includes Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota
> Deliver sales presentations to key clients and prospects in conjunction with project managers and branch managers
> Assist in the preparation of proposals
> Secure signed contracts from new and existing clients consistent with Cardno policy
> Represent company at networking and trade association meetings
> Monitor and evaluate the activities of the competition

Other Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

> Bachelor degree in scientific, engineering or marketing discipline
> Minimum of five years of environmental and/or engineering sales
> Proven track record of sales success and client relationship development in the Rocky Mountain region
> Experience in the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas, transportation, industrial development, and mining markets will be highly desirable
> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced team-oriented work environment
> Solid time-management and follow-through skills
> Quality-oriented and organized
> Positive and energetic attitude
> Self-motivated; strong initiative
