Development and Production North America (DPNA) aims to develop a material and profitable position in North America, including deepwater Gulf of Mexico, unconventional gas and oil sands. In doing this, we will establish capability centres for deepwater and unconventional gas operations as well as carbon efficient oil sands extraction. This will ensure our further development in the area.

Job description

  • Analyze legal descriptions; create polygons for land agreements aligned to grid
  • Maintain leasehold for all US onshore assets and link data to the land system
  • Work with Land Managers to determine areas of criticality and prioritize accordingly
  • Optimize methods for researching and retrieving data for the geoscientists and data management team
  • Maintain Spatial Data layers and create custom data sets for stakeholders
  • Utilize mapping and database software to create and deliver maps, data set, summaries and presentations on both a scheduled and ad hoc basis
  • Support Statoil Facilities group with mapping and regulatory reporting needs
  • Analyze data for quality control, purchases and sales, and other business needs
  • Maintain Land Grid and work with external vendors to improve the management of data
  • Monitor polygon capture to ensure agreements are mapped in a timely manner
  • Provide user support in the form of one-on-one help, learning sessions, and formal training
  • Assist in land system maintenance and enhancements
  • Create and maintain SDE Layers in Arc GIS and Arc Catalog

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience College degree preferred
  • General knowledge of US land administration terminology and agreements
  • Familiarity with Quorum GIS is highly preferred
  • Arc GIS 10.1 experience preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Internal Stake holders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills;
