SENIOR POWER SYSTEM ANALYST (ENGINEER)

The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) is focusing on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzania people. Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity is to be more efficient customer focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. SENIOR POWER SYSTEM ANALYST (ENGINEER) – 1 POST

REPORTING TO: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER POWER QUALITY

POSITION OBJECTIVE

To carry out Real Time Power System Analysis by using the EMS Based power system analysis tools and monitoring, managing, and analysing power system anomalies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform analysis of grid conditions from the measured power system data and their related impacts to connected equipment.
• Preparation of reports detailing power quality conditions in the grid network and ensure PQ data keeping.
• To provide EMS System technical support for real time power system application tools and modeling
• To prepare weekly, monthly and Quarterly reports.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Holder of BSc. in Electrical /Power system engineering or equivalent from recognized University/College

•  Must be registered as Professional Engineer Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of

Tanzania and possess Engineering Practicing License.

• 1 – 2 years' experience in relevant field

REMUNERATION

An attractive compensation package based on performance and commensurate with the responsibility will apply to successful candidates. All positions' terms of employment are performance based fixed contracts.
