Operations are divided into four product areas: Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology - and Primary Products.
The Tube product area, within the business area Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT), is specialized in seamless tubes and pipes and associated parts. SMT's new strategy has a strong focus on utilizing our unique competence within materials technology to grow within the energy segment. In accordance with this new strategic direction, our Business Unit (BU), Oil & Gas is now looking for a Production Unit (PU) Manager, to be located in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As PU Manager with us, you will execute the general managing tasks of the PU, while planning the manufacturing system resources and leading the organization to reach targets on safety, quality, cost and capital efficiency, long and short term. You also have the main responsibility for the manufacturing infrastructure, and designing and developing the internal Materials and Information flow system.
Other responsibilities in your role include improving processes and, in an encouraging way developing people to reach organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Lastly, you will lead the PU's efforts in safety, health and environment, in accordance with current regulations and policies.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master of Business Administration or Engineering degree, focused on Materials, Physics or Mechanics. It is also possible you have other relevant education, or have achieved the same competence through previous work experience. You have experience from a senior manufacturing position, team management as well as from project management and investment implementation. Knowledge of working with Lean Manufacturing and international industries is advantageous. You have good skills in English and Swedish, in both writing and speaking.
