Bluekey is a well established ERP business specialising in SAP Business One and related business management solutions for a range of industries. Our Oil & Gas, Transport & Logistics, Distribution, Retail and Engineering/Manufacturing solutions are widely implemented and supported.
As a growing company (in East Africa, currently No 16 in the Top 100 SME's in Kenya) we are constantly on the lookout for knowledgeable, skilled individuals to grow the business. We are now looking for a motivated sales or business development professional as the New Business Development Executive in our Tanzanian office.
As the on-the-ground sales executive you will be responsible for new busines sales for the branch and constantly hunting new prospects (on your own and in conjunction with the sales team in Nairobi). You will also be responsible for initial prospect meetings, qualification, solution proposal and closing. Although other team members (e.g. technical pre-sales consultants) may provide assistance with demo's, system design, feasibility and proof-of-concept it's ultimately you who is responsible for:
Sales
- Building and the managing the new business sales pipeline
- Initial qualifications meetings/follow ups
- Product and Solution demonstrations and presentations
- Preparation of proof of concepts (POC's)
- Preparation of proposals, and responses to: RFP's, RFQ's, Expression of Interest, Tenders
- Follow up meetings and negotiation
- Deal Closure
- Achievemnet of branch new busines sales targets
Business Development & Presales
- Build, mentor and manage the local team
- Evaluate competitive solutions and vertical markets to refine the 'go to market' (GTM) product stack
- Alignment of Proof-of-Concept (POC) and customer expectations
- Maintain CRM records
- Achievement of branch net-new-names target
Bluekey in Tanzania and Kenya operate as a single operational entity with the majority of resources located in Nairobi. The Bluekey senior management, operations manager, head of consulting, team members and accounts & admin personnel are all responsible for assisting with all and any projects and activities that take place within East Africa. Projects, once confirmed, are planned and controlled from Nairobi although technical and consulting staff are located in Dar es Salaam.
License/own vehicle essential. The position is available immediately in Dar es Salaam.
You are expected to achieve SAP Business One Sales Consultant certification within two months; training will be provided
CTC:
Market related according to experience, comprised of fixed basic and variable commission based on sales.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal graduate would be experienced (5+ years), extrovert, confident, presentable, sincere and reliable, looking for new challenges in a stimulating environment. The candidate would have the gravitas to interact at the highest levels within target organisations and be very comfortable with business concepts, business needs, processes and terminology and have the subject matter expertise to propose and architect great solutions.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (in, for example, Business/Accounting, IT/Computer Sciences, Engineering or Humanities)
- Minimum of 5 years similar work experience, preferably in Professional Services
- Some ERP exposure
- Experience with technical pre-sales will be an advantage
- Track-record in consultative selling
Candidate must be ambitious, focused, well organised, good at multi-tasking and relish the challenge of building significant market share with great products and solutions. Deadlines are important so good time management and motivation is critical.
