Our largest operations are in Tanzania where Mobisol has established a strong sales base as well as a qualified and highly motivated local team of over 80 employees. Mobisol Ltd has been established in 2013 to foster and expand our operations within the Tanzanian market and accompany our growth in East Africa.

 

As part of our expansion plan in Tanzania, Mobisol Ltd is looking for Marketing Officers for Trade Marketing and Brand Management for our new office in Mwanza Region.

 

Marketing Officer – Trade Marketing

 

Responsibilities The main role of the Marketing Officer – Trade Marketing is toco-ordinate the creation, targeting, implementation and evaluation of the Mobisol national promotion programme. 

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate with regional hubs on execution of below the line (BTL) promotional plans and strategies for Mobisol, working in close liaison with the Sales team.
  • Translate the marketing strategy into a marketing plan so as to increase brand awareness, market share and deliver the yearly targets for revenue and new connections.
  • Develop and maintain a matrix of national promotional events by month and by region.
  • Initiate brand/sales activations to increase consumer touch points.
  • Manage the evaluation of all promotion activity, as agreed
  • Generate new innovative promotion mechanics
  • Develop sales force presenter materials for the brand and/or promotion activity.
  • Attend at least 5 promotional events per month, throughout  the hubs, to evaluate promotion effectiveness
  • To issue a contact report after each field visit.

 

 

 

Marketing Officer – Brand Management

 

The main role of the Marketing Officer – Brand Management is to develop a plan that achieves company targets. This will include, but is not limited to, advertising, program/promotions, and research. Must be able to work collaboratively with agencies/vendors and internal resources to drive superior market results.

Other activities include:

 

  • Spotting visibility hot spots and negotiating with land lords.
  • Setting up and executing PR and regional based CSR initiatives.
  • Sharing with the sales team on the events execution methodologies, objectives and reporting.
  • Liaising with advertisers on delivering the artworks and jingles.
  • Running a monthly media coverage comparative analysis.
  • Manage the ordering, delivery and distribution of promotion support materials, sales aids and presentation items, in the right place, at the right time, at the right cost.
  • Monitoring market trends and advice the HoD-Marketing.
  • Carrying out consumer research.
  • Managing brand equity through customer care reports.
  • Brand presentation to customers and/or prospects

 

 

 

Work / information Process

 

The Marketing Officers report directly to the Head of Marketing and Zonal Hub Manager.

 

Job requirement Qualifications and skills required: 
  • Bachelor of Commerce Marketing or Advanced Diploma in related field
  • Minimum experience of  2 years performing related tasks
  • Proven track record of working on successful marketing campaigns and/or a portfolio
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly through formal reports, presentations, memoranda and email
  • Proven record engaging with local government
  • Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Market research experience including qualitative and quantitative data analysis would be a bonus.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili Languages as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
