Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Land and Assets Officer, to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract.
Position Reporting: Legal Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the legal manager in expeditious clearance of the legal cases by collecting formal and informal information.
Maintenance of land and mineral rights data base updated since the inception of the company till the current year.
Identification of land rights that can be relinquished in consultation with BU management after the
completion of the productive use.
Retention of land and mineral rights through legal compliance by on-time payments of duties and taxes and submission of statutory reports.
Qualification
Education: Bachelor Degree in Law or Social Sciences or Human Resources or Economics.
Experience and Additional skills:
Experience in resolving legal issues related to land and mineral rights.
Experience in working with NGO's and farmers in developing CSR projects and long term dual land usage projects.
Experience in working with ministry of minerals and natural resources in addressing the corporate
issues on land and minerals management.
Experience in working with land office at the National, Regional, District, and Regional level:
General awareness of Land and Quarry rehabilitation.
In-depth knowledge of potential land issues related to farming and dual usage of land.
In-depth knowledge of land and minerals right law of Tanzania.

Logistics Planner, to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent
employment contract.
Position Reporting: LOGISTICS MANAGER
Duration: PERMANENT
Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure that all logistics Supply Chain (with particular emphasis on road, rail and water
transport logistics) initiative are setup and managed effectively so as to yield the expected
results on time.
To ensure that the company assets that fall under the responsibility of logistics functions are
utilized efficiently and maintained in an acceptable condition (e.g. weigh bridges computers,
offices, furniture etc).
To specify and implement safety solutions, where applicable so as to ensure safe operations
Qualification
Education: University degree in supply chain management, logistics or engineering
Previous experience of 3 to 5 years in planning-distribution, logistics or demand planning.
Additional skills:
Possess an appreciation of project management capability.
Computer literacy particularly in Enterprise Resource Planning Modules, Microsoft office
packages especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel&MS Access.
Senior Purchasing Officer (Industrial and Projects), to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract.
Position Reporting: PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Duration: PERMANENT
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop strategic sourcing strategy for industrial products/services including negotiation,
contracting and ongoing supplier value management for continuous improvement to ensure
the provision of a professional service to internal customers whilst delivering significant cost
reductions.
Receive and check all industrial service invoices against relevant contracts to ensure
payment is made against the agreed contract rates.
Conduct supplier analysis and manage the overall supplier prequalification process including
sampling and product approval process.
Drive Sourcing performance to ensure that all company strategic plans and Key
Performance Indicators (KPS) are met.
Qualification
Education: Technical Degree (Preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
Previous experience of 4 to 6 years in procurement preferably in the manufacturing or
mining industry would be an asset
Additional skills:
Extensive Knowledge in contract drafting and management.
Skilled in the art of negotiation.
Knowledge of Tanzanian laws and customs.
Strong commercial acumen.
Senior Purchasing Officer (General supplies& Services), to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract.
