building materials and is at the top position on cement industry in the world. Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit highly motivated Land and Assets Officer, to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract.
Position Reporting: Legal Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the legal manager in expeditious clearance of the legal cases by collecting formal and informal information.
Maintenance of land and mineral rights data base updated since the inception of the company till the current year.
Identification of land rights that can be relinquished in consultation with BU management after the
completion of the productive use.
Retention of land and mineral rights through legal compliance by on-time payments of duties and taxes and submission of statutory reports.
Qualification
Education: Bachelor Degree in Law or Social Sciences or Human Resources or Economics.
Experience and Additional skills:
Experience in resolving legal issues related to land and mineral rights.
Experience in working with NGO's and farmers in developing CSR projects and long term dual land usage projects.
Experience in working with ministry of minerals and natural resources in addressing the corporate
issues on land and minerals management.
Experience in working with land office at the National, Regional, District, and Regional level:
General awareness of Land and Quarry rehabilitation.
In-depth knowledge of potential land issues related to farming and dual usage of land.
In-depth knowledge of land and minerals right law of Tanzania.
