MADRE internships are a great way to gain work experience and support MADRE's work with women and families worldwide.
Internships come with a $15/day stipend and require a minimum time commitment of 15 hours a week for at least three months. Internships take place at the MADRE office in Manhattan. MADRE offers three internship sessions throughout the year: Summer (June-August), Fall (September-December), and Spring (January-May).
Responsibilities:
- Engage in ongoing aid campaigns by soliciting, gathering, and inventorying material donations that meet the specific needs of MADRE's sister organizations around the world.
- Maintain and update large donor and inventory databases.
- Research women's human rights issues as background for student outreach and new campaign launches.
- Design and write promotional materials in a variety of media.
- Assist with planning and execution of donor events and fundraisers.
- Position may involve lifting and transporting boxes around New York City; interns will also provide occasional administrative support to MADRE staff.
- Experienced interns may have the opportunity to launch their own humanitarian aid campaigns
