Job Purpose
To provide a professional and prompt logistical service to Atlas Copco Compressors, Atlas Copco Tools Ltd and Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Ltd.To be Team Leader logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
1. To carry out the following duties for Atlas Copco Compressors Ltd/ Systems Hemel Hempstead, London Service/ CMT/Tools.2. To ensure that all surplus stock returns are logged effectively when collected from customer sites, and that the correct booking in / booking out procedure from the warehouse is followed.3. To ensure AC surplus stock is selected and returned to suppliers monthly or transferred to stock in BPCS4. To select, pack and despatch orders released from stock on BPCS5. To receipt and book in all local purchase orders and check they are in line with the PO, send to purchasing record on receipt, raise GRN for cutomer returns, advise of any discrepancies, locate check RAN book on line6. To arrange any ad hoc transport requirement for the despatch of customer or service orders7. To off load any goods destined for the Hemel site from in bound trailers8. To re load any out bound trailers, be they on ward shipments to outsourced distribution point, customer despatches or return shipments to suppliers. 9. To provide an effective and efficient logistical service for all local parcel deliveries at Hemel Hempstead. Provide or obtain POD when requested 10. To ensure that the movement of items / machines within the workshop are conducted in an effective and safe manner.11. To arrange for demo units to be moved around the country as directed by the Customer Support Team. 12. To be responsible for conducting stock takes on a required basis, including recording the location and description of all items held in the Central Warehouse.13. To lead the small team in logistics with all warehouse duties.14. To be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations. 15. To ensure that the yard, warehouse and workshop is kept tidy.16. To manage archive retrieval.17. To perform related duties as required
Experience requirements
Fork lift licence Planning and organising ability Minimum 2 years work experience with some form of direct customer contact.Minimum 12 months previous experience of working in a logistics environment
Knowledge
Computer literate, BPCS knowledge is an advantage.
Personality requirements
Good communication skills, especially telephone skills Customer focussed Self motivated Ability to work individually and as part of a team Planning and organising ability
