BMB Mott MacDonald is looking for an experienced Team Leader in anticipation of an EU funded programme in the East Africa region. The main objective of the programme is to strengthen democratisation and good governance, through support to civil society initiatives on accountability, participatory development and policy advocacy. We seek a senior expert with at least 15 years' relevant project management experience in Africa, preferably in the East African Community.

QUALIFICATIONS
*At least a Masters degree in Political Administration, Political Science other relevant subjects;
*More than 15 years relevant experience of both policy promotion and advocacy;
*Ability to build strong personal relationships with key figures from all sectors of society, including high-level government officials;
*Proven experience working with or for NSAs/ NGOs or CBOs;
*Proven understanding of and experience in strategic communication and work with the media, CSO - media interface, knowledge of new media and social media;
*Previous experience in the East Africa region is an advantage;
*Excellent organisation and communication skills, including report-writing skills;
*Excellent language and writing skills in English, and working knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
