Communications Intern

The Intern will assist with e-communications to MADRE's membership and assist in creating content, designing and producing MADRE print materials and newsletters.

MADRE internships are a great way to gain work experience and support MADRE's work with women and families worldwide.

Internships come with a $15/day stipend and require a minimum time commitment of 15 hours a week for at least three months. Internships take place at the MADRE office in Manhattan.  MADRE offers three internship sessions throughout the year: Summer (June-August), Fall (September-December), and Spring (January-May).

Responsibilities:

• Monitor international news reports related to MADRE program areas and partnerships.
• Assist in creating content, designing and producing MADRE print materials and newsletters
• Assist with e-communications to MADRE's membership.
• Conduct research and draft content for MADRE's website.
• Assist with social networking initiatives.
• Draft and post blog entries to myMADRE, the MADRE blog.
• Provide research assistance as needed.
• Assist with event planning and outreach.
