BRANCH MANAGERS (X 2) - National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania

The National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania (NIC (T) Ltd) is a state owned insurance company with a branch network all over the country. In order to strengthen its operations, the Corporation needs to fill vacant post in order to obtain dynamic, dedicated and self motivated employee who will enable the Corporation to meet the aspirations of all its stakeholders especially customers.

The Corporation wishes therefore to invite candidates with competent skills to fill the following vacancies:-
.Branch Manager - Two (2) Positions (Upcountry)

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Customer Services

Required Qualifications and Experience:
The holder of this post must have Advanced Diploma/Degree in Insurance with at least five years (5) post qualification experience in insurance industry.
Being an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) or having a Post-Graduate Diploma or Degree will be an added advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management of branch activities and general branch administration including formulation and supervision of short and long term work programs and implementation of such programmes;
To formulate strategies for enhancing business sales within his area of jurisdiction;
To oversee the implementation of policies and decisions as set out by the Board of Directors in order to attain corporate objectives at branch level;
To develop and recommend to the management on corporate and business plans which would ensure growth and continuity of branch operations within the set policies,
To ensure that Branch operations conform to the approved annual plan and budget. .
To take measures to improve the image of the corporation within the jurisdiction area,
To articulate and share with the entire staff, the vision and mission of the Company and to provide leadership while coordinating and directing branch activities;
To establish and maintain a harmonious working climate which stimulates and encourages professionalism, discipline, integrity, teamwork as well as maximum productivity by all
branch employees
To prepare periodic reports outlining the status Of the branch
operations and to perform such other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Director of Marketing and Customer Services from time to time.
