Assistant IT Administrator at Mount Meru University
Reports To: The Head of ICT Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:
He/she will be responsible for;
Performing day to day activities of network administration and systems;
Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service
oriented manner;
Setup, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipment like CCTV Camera, video conferencing equipments and projectors;
Training of staff with IT related equipment;
Assist the IT department with project work to grow the technology and infrastructure of the university;
Provide input and recommendations to the university surrounding hardware and software technologies and how these technologies can assist in come up with new products to the community;
software and websites development and database administration;
design systems and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being implement and
Any other duties assigned to him/her by the immediate supervisor or University Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor of information technology/ Computer Science or any other
related field;
Not less than two years experience in a relevant field;
Ability to respond with a high degree of urgency to the needs & requests of others, internally and externally. Understand the impact of their work on others;
working knowledge of hardware and networking basics and
Ability to work independently with little management direction

Remuneration:
An attractive package basing on MMU salary scale and benefits,

Tenure of appointment:
Appointment will be for a contractual terms, renewable upon agreement of both parties
