The Small Industries Development Organization is a Parastatal Organization established by an act of Parliament No. 28 in 1973 to plan, Co-ordinate, Promote and Offer a variety of services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). As part of implementing its Organizational Structure it is hereby inviting applications from Suitably qualified, competent, committed and experienced Tanzanians to immediately fill the following vacancies;

Reporting to the Project Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of Ordinary Diploma or FTC with Trade test Grade I in relevant areas of leather technology and footwear or Natural Fibre.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Business experience in micro and small business development activities is an added advantage.
Training or teaching experience and knowledge of and experience in moderation and facilitation techniques in the respective subsectors for at least 3 years.
Computer knowledge in Micro Soft applications (Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher, etc.) is necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts on-the-job training, classes, or training sessions to teach and demonstrate principles, techniques, procedures, or methods of designated subjects.
Observes and evaluates students' work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement.
Prepares outline of instructional program and training schedule and establishes course goals.
Administers oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Selects and assembles books, materials, supplies and equipment for training, courses or projects,
Solves operational problems and provides technical assistance with equipment and process techniques.
Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions and integrates relevant information into training program.
Recommends advancement, transfer, or termination of student or trainee based on mastery of subject.
Arranges for lectures by subject matter experts in designated fields.
Reviews enrollment applications and corresponds with applicants. Prepares reports and maintains records, such as student grades,

REMUNERATION
According to SIDO Salary Scale SDOSS 1.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND MODE OF APPLICATION:
All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not above 45 years old, however, applicants for senior Positions Who are above 45 years old and are currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
Applicants must attach an Up-to-date current Curriculum Vitae (CV) having reliable contact, postal address, e-mail and telephone numbers and at least three reputable referees (preferably work related for those Who are employed).
Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of all academic certificates With two recent passport size picture and birth certificate. (Form IV and Form VI results slips, testimonials, partial transcripts will strictly not be accepted).
Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the cv will necessitate to legal action.
Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAe. 45/25710110/140 dated 30th November, 201 O.
Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be certified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
ii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
