VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
The Tanzania Official Seed Certification Institute (TOSCI) was established under the Seed Act No. 18 of 2003 as a successor to Tc (TOSCA), which is a government entity under the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives.

TOSCI's Head Quarter is in Morogoro with branches in Mwanza, Arusha and Njombe.

TOSCI is responsible for verification of new seeds varieties for official release and certification of seeds produced for sale in the Tanzania Official Seed Certification Institute -TOSCI invites qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts.

POSITION; RESEARCH ASSISTANT II (1 POST-MOROGORO)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    To assist Senior Research Officers in setting up experiments am data collection.
•    To understudy Research Officers.
•    May be assigned inspectorate activities.
•    To gather relevant literature and writing up of research reports.
•    To perform any other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•    Graduate with 1st Degree in Agriculture or Biological Sciences preferably a Second Class and above from a recognized University
Working experience in a reputable Institution will be an added advantage.

REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution' Salary Scale: PRSS 1

GENERAL CONDITIONS
•    All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not above 35 years old

•    Applicants must attach their detailed relevant certified copies of
Academic certificates:
- Degree/Diploma/Certificates.
- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.
_ One recent passport size picture affixed at the top-centre of the
first page and birth certificate.
•    FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SUPS ARE STRICTLY NOT
ACCEPTED
•    Transcripts, Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will
not be accepted.
•    Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action. Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
•    Applicants who have retired from the Public Service for
whatever reason should not apply.
•    Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their
reliable contacts.
•    Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by
Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
•    Deadline for application is 12/11/2014 at 3:30 p.m
