Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sandvik Coromant for a Process Engineer to provide process engineering support and component solution development projects, using CAD/CAM systems and verification software, assisting in the implementation of the process at the customer premises as required.
The position reports directly to the ECC Manager, Oil & Gas, EMEA, and is part of the Coromant EMEA Engineering organisation.
The Role
The role will involve:
  • Providing process engineering/CAD/CAM input to improve machining methods and strategies.
  • Ensuring all projects are properly scoped and described.
  • Providing 2D drawings and 3D models, CAM programs, cycle times and cost analysis in a timely manner.
  • Developing industry specific process knowledge and expertise in order to transfer best practise.
  • Assisting customers during the implementation of new processes, developing trainings or support packages.
  • Identifying opportunities for new product development through the analysis of customers' current processes, in cooperation with Sales Units and Application Specialists.
  • Occasional travel to Coromant Sales Units and customers within the EMEA Market Area and Coromant AB in Sandviken.
Your Profile
The successful candidate must:
  • Be qualified to higher technical education level or equivalent in Production and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Have a minimum 3 years' CAM experience in the application of cutting tools within the Oil & Gas component manufacturing industry.
  • Have an awareness of the Value Selling Concept.
  • A drive for customer satisfaction and an understanding of investment decisions.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Coromant products and services and acute awareness of project and application competitiveness.
  • Have experience in project management and strong presentation skills.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and verbally. Italian knowledge is appreciated
  • Have a depth knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and programs and be capable of producing 2D drawings and 3D models
