Highway Engineer for Highway Supervision Project

About the project

The project is located in Katavi Region in the South-West part of Tanzania.  Provide consultancy services for the supervision of upgrading a 35 km road to Bitumen standard.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• She/he must be a registered Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or Highway Engineering
• Postgraduate in Highway Engineering is an added advantage
• Cumulative experience of at least 10 years in road/bridge design and construction supervision
• Experience as a Highway Engineer in at least 2 bituminous road construction projects of similar nature in the last 10 years
• Must have a working experience of at least 3 years in Sub-Sahara countries
• Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory

It would be advantageous to have;

• Experience in the Region
• Working level of fluency in local language(s)
• Knowledge of local culture or administrative system and government organisation
