World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Job Title: Programme and Administrative Assistant   
Reports to: Programs Manager
Location; Babati
Purpose of the position:
  •  To provide administrative support to the Divisional team
  •  Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Major Responsibilities;
  • Ensure proper use (of stationeries, kitchen utensils, food items and sanitary ware) and maintain mini store records
  • Compile divisional reports.
  • Coordinate visitor's schedule.
  • Ensure proper filling and dissemination of divisional documents.
  • Organize divisional morning devotions.
  • Prepare and provide logistical support to division director, divisional meetings, workshops etc.
  • Record and maintain divisional meeting minutes (Secretary to the divisional meeting).
Other Competencies/Attributes:
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
  • Good communication skills
  • Perform other duties as required
 Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
  • The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Minimum Qualification required: Advanced Diploma in Secretary or related field.
  • Experience:  2 yrs in Secretarial duties 
  • Preferred: Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Public Administration or related field.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power point software.
  • Knowledge of Data base management.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to communicate in both Kiswahili and English.
  • Ability to analyses data.

Job Title: Citizen Voice and Action Facilitator    
Reports to: Project Manager (line manager) and technical reporting line to CVA Specialist (NO)
Location; Northern Zone/Central Zone   
Purpose of the position:
The Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) Facilitator is a community level advocacy experienced staff implementing the activities of the Social Accountability.
The CVA Facilitators is responsible for the timely delivery of project activities leading to the expected outputs and outcomes.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Implement project activities in line with project design documents.
  1. Design weekly work plan and discuss with line manager.
  1. Build the capacities of staff and other stakeholders in the community.
  1. Establish and support networks at sub-county and district levels.
  1. Collect most significant change stories, community gathering action plans among other M&E information.
  1. Enter data into the CVA database.
    7. Produce monthly project reports.
  1. Carry out assessment on community understanding of empowerment,     government policies, social accountability.
  1. Ensure annual appraisal of line managed staff against responsibilities and KPI's.

  • Computer literate (MS Office)

Job Title:  Community mobilizers (2 Position)
Reports to:  FMNR Manager      
Location; Dodoma and Same
 Purpose of the position:
Effectively and efficiently facilitate Implementation of  FMNR interventions at the project level to ensure that communities are empowered for sustainable development and they contribute to child well being outcome as per World Vision standards.
Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Major Responsibilities:
1.      Implementation and reporting of planned activities
·         Participate in planning and budgeting, preparation of work plans, implementation of planned activities and monitoring/ reporting of progress.
·         Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.
·         Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and seminars.
·         Identify local level partners, support and facilitate the partnership in the implementation of planned activities.
·         Facilitate stakeholders and partners in supervision and monitoring of programmatic activities.
·         Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annually.
·         Maintain and update FMNR Database on a monthly basis
  • Documentation of evidence based impact stories.
2. Community engagement and advocacy
·         In collaboration with particular ADP Management, sensitize community empowerment through TEAM approach by organizing commercial producer groups (CPG) and formation of commercial villages.
·         Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of community development initiatives.
·         Build the capacity of children, families and community to collectively engage local leaders on identified issues.
·         Follow-up on commitments by leaders on improvement of the wellbeing of children.
3. Support the Communities and partners in adoption of FMNR 
·         Facilitate the communities to set apart and regenerate community forest areas , farms and social service areas like schools and along roads through FMNR
·         Train communities and partners on implementation of FMNR.
·         Support communities to identify income generation opportunities that are environmental friendly.
·         In collaboration with District Land and Natural Resources Management Department support capacity building of communities on formulation and implementation of environmental conservation by-laws.
Participate in fund raising strategies for FMNR projects
4. Monitoring of the performance of environmental conservation groups 
·         Support development of integrated  monitoring plan in assigned area with area stakeholders
·         Organize reflection meetings at the local level to assess progress in FMNR implementation
·         Facilitate communities to identify barriers to effective FMNR adoption and propose community solution for them.
·     Identify, train community volunteers/monitor, partners and train on FMNR approach and partnership standard.
·         Provide support to Area Development Programmes on FMNR adoption.
5. Child Protection and Wellbeing
·         Monitor the wellbeing and child abuse cases and report any accordance in line with child protection policy and guidelines.
·         Work with local leaders to protection children from child violations and abuses on child protection.
·         Sensitization of children on child protection.
·         Sensitize children, guardians/parents and other stakeholders about children's rights and responsibilities with a view to identify child violations.
·         Facilitate spiritual nurture of children.
6. Networking:·         Facilitate networking relationships and participation with wide stakeholders such as government, church, faith based organization leaders and other key partners at local level such as NGOs, CBOs, IGA groups
  • Foster partnership with local institution in environmental conservation monitoring

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
·         Minimum Qualification required: Diploma in Social Science from accredited College/University in Agriculture, Forestry, Natural Resources Management, Sociology, Planning, Community Development, Psychology & related field.
·          Preferred: Degree /Advanced Diploma in Agric. Economics, Sociology, Community Development, Psychology & related field.
·         Experience:  1 - 2 years in programming
