Bugando Medical Centre is a consultant and teaching hospital for the Lake and Western zones of the United Republic of Tanzania. It is situated along the shores
of Lake Victoria in Mwanza City. It has 900 beds and over 1000 employees. It is a referral centre for tertiary specialist care for eight regions, namely: - Mwanza,
Geita, Simiu, Mara, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora and Kigoma. It serves a catchment's population of over 14 million people.

DENTAL SURGEON II (1- POST)
Entry Qualifications:
Holder of a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree or its equivalent from a recognized Institution. Must be registered by the Tanganyika Medical Council as a
Dental Surgeon with one year of internship.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct Oral Health education to in patients and out patients.
• Attending emergency medical duties on Oral health.
• Carrying out investigations of admitted patients.
• Ensuring that prescribed instructions are carried out.
• Conducting minor operations on Orthodontics.
• Assisting senior physicians/surgeon at operations.
• Carrying out service and participating in major ward rounds.
• Supervising medical students and interns in clinical duties.
• Ensuring that patients are properly prepared for surgery.
• Participating fully in morning clinical sessions, patient presentation and journal clubs.
• Participating in research activities.
• Assist in conducting outreach programs.
Salary Scale: PMGSS.10

Bachelor degree in Nursing from any accredited and recognized nursing institution, registered with Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council with one year of
internship.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach of student nurses and/or medical students.
• Apply the installed integrated hospital management information systems in all activities and reporting.
• Adhere to the prescribed inpatients and outpatient treatment manual and procedures.
• Ensure that prescribed instructions are carried out

• Administering medicine and treating patients as prescribed
• Adhering to the rules and regulations of DDA
• Giving health education to patients and their relatives
• Conducting ward rounds

• Processing X-ray films.
• Keeping and maintaining patient's records.
• Up-keeping of X-ray equipment in the department.

• Supervising the work of assistant(s) assigned to him/her.
