Program Coordinator, Vital Statistics Improvement
NAPHSIS is seeking a Program Coordinator to support its grants, contracts, and programs in our Vital Statistics Improvement office. This position will require a special emphasis on research, documentation, and writing skills, as well as proven abilities to faciliate telephone and in-person meetings involving participants from other associations, government agencies, and NAPHSIS members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional support for NAPHSIS programs, including performing analysis, writing, and project coordination.
  • Provide comprehensive support to various working groups, coordinate meetings, logistics, write minutes, reports and other program support activities as assigned.
  • Organize and facilitate sharing of information and ideas among outside organizations and NAPHSIS members and staff on a variety of virtual platforms.
  • Conduct literature reviews and other types of research to inform the development of improved methods, policies and procedures.
  • Support grant and contract cycle including activity tracking, progress and summary reporting and compliance with federal and/or contract guidelines.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in any field. Master's degree preferred. Preference will be given to those fields with courses that emphasize research and writing.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to persons with experience in Public Health in an association or government setting.
  • Excellent speaking and business writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively.
  • Ability to focus on details and the big picture.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Being proactive; able to anticipate needs of stakeholders.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Traits/Skills:
  • Experience with one or more data systems related to public health or health care.
  • Experience with producing social media content in a professional setting, including blog writing and sharing professional content using platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
  • Experience with writing grants and/or business proposals.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
