The EMEA Small Business Marketing Communications Manager is tasked with the goal of enabling, educating and inspiring SMBs (small- to medium-size businesses) across Europe, Middle East, and Africa to market their businesses on Facebook. This position requires experience marketing to SMBs and a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of this audience and the communications channels to reach them. More specifically, strong marketing, content strategy and development along with strong project management and communication skills are required. Experience building and/or managing a high performing team is a must for this role. The ideal candidate will have a background in advertising, sales, communications and marketing and will work closely with the broader Regional Business Marketing team, the EMEA SMB team and the other SMB marketing teams globally.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute EMEA industry marketing strategy (from presence at key industry events, to speaker prep, content creation, PR support and success measurement)
- Drive EMEA small business marketing strategy, partnering with the small business team ( SMB Sales)
- Partner with Global SMB marketing counterparts to localize global content and build local content to drive key SMB business initiatives such as case studies and email content
- Activate Global SMB programs in the region, as relevant and pertinent to EMEA SMB goals
- Develop deep relationships with cross-functional partners to align against common goals, specifically PR & Policy teams, to influence the market at scale
- Roll-out SMB brand voice across the region and across all channels and teams
- Infuse core SMB messaging in all communications across all channels
- Define & support the activation of 3rd party ecosystem for SMB, including agencies and PMDs, through content, events, success stories & education
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in marketing or related field
- Strong track record of hiring, developing and managing people
- Experience with Marketing Communications, and understanding of SMB audience and challenges broadly
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies
- Experience developing plans to measure impact of efforts
- Understanding of direct response marketing models to scale programs
- Understanding of scaled channels and how to bring new ideas to market
- Understanding of diverse market landscape across EMEA and ability to demonstrate tangible solutions that have successfully scaled across fragmented region in terms of languages, maturity & competitive landscape
- Ability to work within matrix organization to partner with variety of cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong writing skills and a creative problem solver
- Strong understanding of digital marketing
