BUWASA is an expanding Autonomous entity which is responsible for supplying of clean, safe water as well as provision of waste water disposal services for Bukoba Municipality.
The Authority is looking for competent, dynamic, energetic, committed, experienced and well qualified Tanzanian who is capable of embracing and driving change in BUWASA to fill the following vacant posts,
Internal Auditor (1 Post)
POSITION REPORTS TO MANAGING DIRECTOR
(i) Qualification & Experience
.:. Degree/Advance Diploma in Accounting and Finance, CPA (T) and registration with NBAA as Authorized Accountant.
Post graduate or Masters in the same field as well as Management experience in water sector will be an added advantage
_:. Applicant should posses not less than 4 years experience til a reputable organization of which 2 years should be in senior position .
• :- Applicant should not exceed 40 years of birth.
The Internal Auditor is the Head of the internal Audit Unit responsible for Internal Control system and reports to Managing Director. Among others he/she will perform the following duties;
1. Providing an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of financial control systems and compliance with
Authority's policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
2. Prevention and detection of errors, fraud and waste.
3. Ensuring that fixed and current assets are properly safeguarded, verified and accounted for.
4. Verifying that monthly accounting procedures are properly carried out and that accurate management information is promptly produced, in accordance with agreed procedures.
S. Establishing a comprehensive e annual internal audit programme.
6. Undertaking special investigations s whenever circumstances necessitate and report thereon
7. Carrying out a value for money and risk management audit.
8. Ensuring conformity to the safety security procedures of all the Authority's assets.
9. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director
