Country Project Director

TheCountryProjectDirector(CPD)leadsandmanagestheChallengeTBprojectinSouthSudan.S/heisaccountableforoverallprojectstrategy andsuccess,includingdeliveringonkeyprojectresults.

TheCPDhasfullaccountabilityandauthorityforthedevelopment, execution,andmonitoringoftheChallengeTBprojectincountry,including:

•   developmentoftechnicalstrategy,workplans,budgetsandperformancemanagementplans;

•   implementation oftheannualworkplansandbudgets;

•   oversight,technicalandmanagerialleadershipofallChallengeTBprojectstaff;

•   overallprojectmanagement,includingthe managementofshortand longtermtechnicalassistanceand ensuringthat the MSH/ChallengeTB

officefollowsstandardChallengeTBandMSHadministrative,procurementandfinancialprocedures;

•   documentation and communications;

•   developmentandmanagementofproductiverelationshipswithUSAID,theMinistryofHealth(MOH),theNationalTuberculosisLeprosyand BruluiUlcerProgram(NTLBP)andstakeholder(s);andcoordinationwithotherMSHprojects.TheCPDrepresentsChallengeTBandMSHto USAID,theMOPH,theNTLBP,othergovernmentalagenciesandcooperatingpartnerswithinSouthSudan.

Responsibilitiesincludethefollowing:Administering, Advising,&SupportingChallengeTBActivities(60%);CoordinatingProgramActivities

RequiredEducation:

•   Advanceddegreeinahealth-relatedfieldwithspecializedtrainingand/orexperiencerelatingtotraininginpublichealthorequivalent.

RequiredExperience:

•   At least8yearsdemonstratedrelevantexperienceandprovenknowledgeinprogrammingandmanagementofTBandTB/HIVcontrolin

African countries.

•   DemonstratedexperiencewiththemanagementofUSAID projects.

KnowledgeandSkills

•   ExperiencewithpublichealthprogramssupportedbybilateralagenciessuchasUSAIDandinternationalagenciessuchasWHOandWorld

Bank preferred.

•   Excellentstrategicthinkingandplanningskills
